Moola for Yarn

I have found myself a job... Yay! This means more moola for yarn purchases (so far, I have will-power to NOT explore any fancy yarn shops in Toronto) but might also mean less time for knitting. Will have to see, maybe I can squeeze in some commute knitting time! Isn't this crazy? I am actually looking forward to living far away just so I can knit on the commute. @_@

Thank you for the wonderful comments on my pair of socks! *blush* In the meantime, I have started one sock for the special man in my life... my Daddy! Although using 2.25 mm needles for this project, this Scheepjes Invicta Extra (#1361) yarn is slightly heavier than Confetti Socks yarn, so it's actually not too bad. The stitches are much closer together, which I like, and this time there are cables to make it interesting. I think I am finally getting the hang of knitting with toothpicks!

Also, Mr. Ikea Showroom's aran cushion cover is finished... all EXCEPT for the zipper closure. This will need to wait for the next trip to Michaels or Walmart but when will that be?? The pillow itself turned out very nice; the box pattern is actually subtly alluring - unfortunately, I didn't like the pattern too much. Perhaps because it is free? or because this is Paton's standard?, there was no chart for the cables/box pattern!!

Enuf of the rant, I promise pictures next time! Happy Knitting!

Congrats on the new job! I think knitters all over the world would share the same feeling ... longer commute ... more time for knitting ... especially in the morning trip TO work!
