It may seem that this blog is DEAD...
But it's not!!!

I haven't been frolicking here of late but I do miss this wonder world of blog. Thanks to Polly for checking up on me. I'm doing fine but have been crazily preoccupied with many things... work (which runs in crazy cycles) and moving into a new flat (the 4th move within 6 months!!!). Hopefully this time it's permanent... The home is my HUGE project at the moment - painting, accumlating furniture, packing, moving - stay tuned to see many home decor-related projects. I see in my crystal ball... chunky cabled cushion covers galore!

In the meantime, this month + 0.5 has not been wasted. Mommy's socks are completed! The color is bit off - it's supposed to be light grey.

The Debbie Bliss cardigan is also finished and I LOVE IT! The fit is a bit baggy but it's perfect to keep me warm and cozy. Toronto is getting colder by the day (minus 5 degrees) so it will be useful. I absolutely adore the cables and raspberry stitch... it's so thick but sooooo soft. The raglan shaping is wonderful too - it was a cinch to put together. I promise to follow up with a photo that shows what it looks like on me (if I can find my camera amongst all the boxes).

Now that these two projects are completed... I fell a bit "bare" without having anything to keep me occupied on my metro trips... and so, I have started socks for sister #1. I know I have already missed the Xmas '05 deadline so I can slowly knit without any pressure (for Xmas '06). This time, I will tackle a lace stitch.

While packing, I found lots of yarn that I *cough* forgot *cough* I had. I think once I move in and start settling, it will be time to review the yarn stash, update the to-knit list and start knitting again. Plus, more blogging and keeping in touch!

Hey, great to hear from you! Moving takes a lot of energy so it's really amazing you've done all that knitting! Love your cardi; I think it's wearable in HK too. ;) We're having a cold snap - ten degrees! :D

Hello Peggy! It's so nice to hear from you. Just a few days ago I was thinking about you. Since you haven't post for a while I thought that you are still probably busy with your relocation.
Lovely socks, I am sure your mom will adore them. Your cardi is sure looks cozy and comfy. I'll be looking forward to see your decor-related projects.
