Lavender

It's been a while since my last post as summer is finally here.  Gotta enjoy the sun while it lasts!

I finished 2 sweaters, both the same color!

1) Lavender Cherie Amour

I used 5 skeins of  Manos del Uruguay Wool Clasica  to knit this free knitty pattern, Cherie Amour
I wanted a higher v-neck so I knitted lace 2 X 3 repeats before starting neck shaping.

I completely forgot that Manos doesn’t have dye lots so the bottom lace, middle ribbing and body lace sections are now subtly different shades.   Hope it's not noticeable or that it looks like it was intended that way...

2) Anthropologie Slouchy Stitch Pullover Reverse-Engineered

I saw a mesh sweater from Anthropologie and was inspired to make something similar.  I used a free pattern from Tahki Stacy Charles, and modified it a bit.  My version is less slouchy, longer and I omitted the slanted hem.  I used about 10 skeins of Rowan Bamboo Tape, which I got for $2 a skein from Dressew.  The entire sweater cost me about $20!
Happy summer and load up on vitamin D!

those are really pretty :) i wouldn't have noticed the change in colour if you hadn't mentioned it, but it really does look intentional now that i have!
