I started blogging in 2005, when I was getting ready to move back to Canada from Hong Kong. I had discovered the wonderful world of HK knit bloggers (for the longest time, I thought I was the lone knitter on the fragant harbour!!) and had the honor of meeting Siow Chin, Joy, Marjorie, and Eva before I left. I hope to meet up again with these great gals sometime soon... perhaps in July'07?
TO VANCOUVER...
I didn't meet any bloggers in Vancouver. In fact, I was a bit of a hermit since I live in the boonies and only had easy access to one knitting store. However, I still managed to stash bust, stash enhance, and find my long-forgotten "vintage" stash during the 1.5 months I was there.
TO TORONTO...
I met a group of wonderful drunken Stitch n'Bitch-ers: Jacquie, Jen, Lady Lung Doc, Lisa, Nadia, Pirk, Sandi, Sherri, Sonia, Soosan, Sophie and many many others who may be blogless or closet bloggers. They are a delightful bunch who make me feel like I am part of a big happy family. I look forward to our Wednesday meet-ups, where I get a chance to finish enough knitting for weekly blogging content. Recently, Tania has started a Monday knitty night too.
AND NOW...
I am approaching the 10,000th visit to my blog. I remember I was super-excited when it hit 1,000! To celebrate this occasion, I have a gift for you.
My photo is terrible. It was taken at night, the only light source being my 60W lamp. It is Regia Canadian Colors sock yarn in #4736 Ontario (how fitting?!) and the actual colors are shown on the left sock blocker.
Unfortunately, I cannot identify thru site meter who is the 10,000th visitor, so I will randomly choose one winner. Just leave me a comment with your email. The winner will be drawn soon after I see the meter hit 10,000.
Good Luck and Happy Knitting!

hehe, but I thought that *I* was the only knitter in HK! Always did wonder who bought yarn from the lys. ;-) See you soon?
Congrats Peggy, I probably accounted for thousands of your site meter readings :)
Isn't it great that you start out thinking you're alone in this crazy world of knitting and then you start meeting like-minded individuals whether physically or online.
Congratulations on the 10,000th visit!!
