CLAP after Trinity

TRINITY KAL FO

Lotus Blossom Tank is done! For a 3.75mm project, it went surprisingly fast. I love the construction... knitting in the round and working the shoulder straps from the back piece. I didn't block it at all but it fits perfectly and is kindly sexy while hiding all undergarments. :) I used 3 balls of Jaegar Trinity in Shell, and there's still about one-quarter to one-half ball left.

CLAP...

With that off the needles, I could not resist and quickly started the much-awaited
Clapotis. I am using Handmaiden's Lady Godiva, which I got at the 20% off sale at Romni's last month. It's in the "Paris" colorway... Clapotis in Paris... how appropriate, eh? After winding up the yarn, there were some obvious color differences between the two skeins - one has more teal & burgandy undertones, while the other one is more brown. I've alternated the skeins every 2 rows.

Since I only have 500m (100m short from the pattern), I followed And She Knits Too, and knit one less increase repeat (total of 95 st) and am still deciding on the length. The colors resemble a bruised rainbow but I like it! Hope I can finish this in a few weeks so I can take it to Paris. Hmmmm... Paris Clapotis in Paris...

HOUSEWARMING GIFTS

Two of my drinking buddies will be moving into their new posh & swank condos in the end of September (they aren't moving into the same unit, BUT the corners of their units touch). They are allowing me to give them home decor advice so I'm super-excited. At the same time, I must also face my backlog of housewarming gifts.

1) I still owe KS two teal Bohemian cushion covers, which are only 1/4 done AND he moved in 2005/06 winter! Note to self: I can't be shelfish and just knit things for myself. MUST WORK ON THIS!

2) Must start drinking buddy #1 (WL)'s cushion covers (0% progress)

3) May cheap out on drinking buddy #2 (HL) and give him framed photographs that I have taken instead. Brainwashing self: HL prefers photographs anyway.

Last week, I went to the knitting meet-up. Imagine 20+ knitters in a coffee shop! Some coffee patrons looked very amused... and I think I'm hooked, I can't wait for tomorrow night!

Lovely! I like the colour you chose! I am still debating if I should knit a clapotis.

It's a cute tank! Fits you nicely and it needs less than 3 balls. Need to keep an eye on this design. ;)
I like your Seaberry Shell as well!

Your tank is so lovely! Do you like wearing the trinity yarn? You are right about this design, the lace is at a very appropriate part and the rest of the tank is quite modest, but overall the look is lovely and lacey.

So quick you have completed this tank. I just received the IK Fall. I like yours more than the one pictured in the book

Wow! you tank top is beautiful! I am currently knitting "Peggy" from a Jaeger pattern booklet with Trinity too. It's very light, and a bit tweedy. I like it.

Oh. From your profile I found you come from Toronto, too! Wow, I found another great knitter in Toronto. Wonderful! Do you ever go to any of the LYS?

What a pretty color for your top, and I can't believe how little yarn it used!

Nice colors for the clap too!

Very pretty top, your Lotus Blossom tank! And the colours of the FA yarn is gorgeous despite the difference in the two balls, good decision to alternative between them.
